The Winnetka Turkey Trot is an annual endurance event held on the Green Bay Trail at the Winnetka Train Station. The race features a rolling start with separate waves for fast runners and families. Participants must pick up their race packets in advance, as there is no race day packet pickup. The event supports the Wings Organization for women and children. There are no awards, but all children receive a medal. Post-race refreshments are provided, and results are posted online. The event takes place regardless of weather, and no refunds are offered. Volunteers are needed for various roles.
