The Midnight Special 5K is a New Year's Eve running event held in Northwestern Ohio. Starting at 11:45 PM at Patron Saints Brewery, participants run along an out-and-back course on the University Parks Trail. The event features chip timing, and the first 150 finishers receive a pint glass. Overall winners in various categories receive awards, but there are no age group prizes. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lights as the course is not illuminated. Water and snacks are available at the finish, with additional refreshments available for purchase. Online registration is required.
