This event is a run and walk organized to raise funds for Blood Cancer United, formerly known as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in honour of Bert Vicchio. The course follows the American River Trail and is open to other parkway users. Participants receive goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats at check-in. Medals are awarded to all finishers, with additional awards for top male and female participants. Timing is recorded manually, and there are no official timing chips, with virtual participation available.
