The Wimpy Mile is a one-mile walk/run hosted by the Dahlonega Sunrise Rotary Club, featuring a significant downhill course from Hancock Park in downtown Dahlonega to the Yahoola Reservoir boat ramp. The event welcomes runners, joggers, walkers, families, and pets, and encourages participants to wear costumes. An awards presentation is held at Hancock Park after the race, with transportation provided for those who do not wish to walk back. A special prize is offered to the first runner who finishes in under four minutes.
