The Communication Counts is hosted by Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte. The event includes a timed race, fun run, Kids Dash, and virtual options. It aims to raise funds for speech-language and hearing services in the community. Participants receive a t-shirt, and medals are given to 5k and fun run participants, while supplies last. Awards are given to top race finishers, as well as the team that raises the most funds, the most spirited team, and the largest team.
