The IceBreaker Challenge is a unique event where runners and walkers compete against rowers on the Hudson River. Participants travel along the Corning Preserve Bicycle Path, while rowers from the Albany Rowing Center race in shells on the river. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Albany Rowing Center, supporting community access to rowing. It takes place at the Albany Rowing Center Boathouse with parking available at the Corning Preserve Boat Launch. Souvenir t-shirts are provided to the first 250 registrants, and prizes are awarded to race category winners.
